We have an opening for a Weighbridge Supervisor to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the efficient day to day operations of the weighbridges, ensuring routine maintenance and repairs are carried out and handling any queries from drivers, clients and the Local Boroughs.

Responsibilities

  • The day to day responsibilities of the role include:
  • Being based primarily within the Ecopark to provide one-to-one training for the crow's nest operators and oversee Weighbridge/Scada operations outside of core operational hours
  • Providing reports as requested
  • Ensuring vehicle registration issues are resolved and delays to site users (Boroughs) are kept to a minimum.
  • Managing Energy Centre stock levels and maximising commercial opportunities through available capacity
  • Carrying out regular visits to remote sites (minimum of one per month) to assess Weighbridge operation, arrange preventative maintenance and provide training for new starters as required
  • Resolving transaction queries and ensuring accurate billing at month-end
  • Ensuring queuing is kept to a minimum, and that contracted turnaround times are not exceeded
  • Working with the Security Contractor to ensure that cover for weekends and holidays is arranged where required
  • Proposing changes and enhancements to the weighbridge systems and procedures in order to generate more income or improve efficiency
  • Ensuring that all the equipment in the weighbridges, including the platforms, PC's, ANPR and barriers are working at all times
  • Reporting any failures to the appropriate suppliers and arranging repairs and maintenance as needed, after having undertaken first line support on the equipment
  • Identifying Weighbridge training needs, organising relevant training as required to new Weighbridge Operators
  • Performing daily reconciliation of transactions, including remote sites to ensure accurate and effective billing at month end
  • Monitoring expenditure in line with Budget

Requirements

We are looking for someone with experience in operating Weighbridges who meet the below criteria:

  • You must be available to work on a 4 week rotating shift pattern from Monday to Friday
  • Have very strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively, efficiently and courteously with all site users
  • Good numeracy and IT skills, able to work with excel spreadsheets and D365
