Weighbridge Coordinator (FTC to Sept 2025)

We are working with a large, industry leading organisation on the lookout for a Weighbridge Coordinator to join their team in Ascot. This is an incredible opportunity to join a great company where you can really make an impact.

This crucial role requires an individual who possesses a combination of strong administration, organisational and problem-solving abilities. Responsible for effectively overseeing all operations regarding the weighbridge whilst prioritising safety and compliance across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the weighbridge to weigh vehicles in and out and provide direction to vehicles to ensure correct waste streams and effective traffic flow around the site
  • Ensure site compliance with the site permit (specifically around acceptance of waste)
  • Complete paperwork to ensure the site complies with legislation (i.e. duty of care etc)
  • Update spreadsheets (recording and calculating in/?outputs for site) and extract reports from system/?weekly basis
  • Recycled Materials: Liaise with foreman/?head office on stocks/?materials. Booking transport for wastes/?Recyclates
  • Conduct Health and Safety research and update notice boards. Be site first aid/?fire trained. First Aid/Supply’s/stock/PPE ordering and record keeping
  • Develop in and support Transport shipping/?logistical requirements. This will include preparing daily work and delivering instruction to drivers, accommodating additional orders and rectifying missed collections. Support Shipper with Driver start of day processes (key/?PDA) issuing etc
  • Support Manager with daily waste operations tasks
  • Willing to travel to other sites as required
  • Any other ad hoc duties as requested by Manager including but not limited to daily records/?site diary, WAP/?Kronos, emails etc

Key Requirements:

  • Weighbridge and/?or shipping experience an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given
  • Effective and confident communication skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Health and Safety legislation knowledge ideal but training will be provided
  • Be highly organised and operate in a compliant manner in a challenging environment
  • Self-motivated
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • IT literate
  • Be approachable and professional
  • Must possess the ability to reason logically within tight and conflicting timeframes
  • Demonstrate understanding and works to exceed expectations
  • Must be flexible
