Weekend Shift Electrical Engineering Technician. This is a permanent position working for a leading manufacturer, based on a rotating Day and Night shift, working 3 shifts across Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Based in Leicestershire, this permanent vacancy offers a salary of £38795 with scope to increase when fully competent over a 1-2-year basis. Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor and/or Manager, you will be responsible for the planned and preventative maintenance of a range of automated, manufacturing, assembly lines and plant machinery. To provide high quality and on time services for the production department that requires electrical engineering specific knowledge and skills. To ensure that all plant equipment and machinery is maintained to the highest standards relating to safety, efficiency & performance for use by the operations department.

As Weekend Shift Electrical Engineering Technician, your key responsibilities will include the reduction of engineering downtime, responding rapidly to machine failures & breakdowns, able to undertake projects and assist with all on-site installations. To undertake, develop & improve planned maintenance schedules, prioritising work within the engineering department & deploy resources accordingly, helping to to identify training needs or 'weak spots' within the department. To ensure all equipment is in a safe & serviceable condition to maintain & enhance performance of all machinery within the corrugating / conversion plant.

We are looking for a Time served (apprenticeship trained) electrical engineer who has worked within the F.M.C.G.sector, NVQ3 / ONC / HNC qualified with at least 3 years previous, relevant electrical maintenance engineering experience.
