Weekend Assistant Cook/chef

A local charity in Carlton, Bedfordshire, is looking for a dedicated weekend Cook/Chef to join their team on a temporary basis in their Bistro. 

  Weekend Cook/Chef

• Location: Carlton, Bedfordshire
• Job Type: Part-time, Temporary - Saturday and Sunday
• Working hours 8.30am - 4.30pm

Role:

• Prepare, cook, and assist in serving breakfast
• Cater to a variety of tastes to include hot or cold sausage rolls as well as other pastries, filled croissants, filled baguettes, hot soup and roll, plus many delicious cakes, tea & coffee. We cater for gluten free & vegan.
• Ensure the dining and kitchen areas are clean by wiping down tables, assisting with washing up, and maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness.
• Work collaboratively with another staff member to provide a pleasant dining experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
• Ability to prepare and cook meals for many people.
• Knowledge of basic food hygiene and safety practices.
• Good organisational skills to manage the preparation and serving of two main meals.
• A basic DBS check will be required to start this role.
