Job description

The successful applicant should have a passion for weddings and events, a keen eye of detail and be eager to learn and progress within the company. This role consists of assisting the Sales team on a day to day basis to help hit team targets.

Overview of the role:

  • Our Sales team will contract and confirm an event and then will hand over to the Weddings and Events department to then plan the finer detail of each event
  • The type of events you will assist to plan and coordinate range in complexity, which include traditional and Asian weddings, corporate and student balls, private dinners, corporate conferences and meetings, birthday parties, baby showers, wakes etc.
  • You will assist the Sales Managers to work closely with the client to finalise details of their event ensuring we are providing a personal and stress-free pre-event experience.
  • Ensuring the billing details are correct and payments are in within a timely manner
  • Maintain and continue to improve processes and procedures, where required
  • Actively look for opportunities to upsell to maximise revenue opportunities
  • Understand and continue to grow your knowledge on the current market trends

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in events within the hospitality industry and/or educated within hospitality management or event management (operations and/ or event planning)
  • Be enthusiastic, committed, have a hands on approach and happy to take on a challenge
  • Ability to work under pressure while being organised with a high level of attention to detail
  • Have the natural ability to deliver exceptional experiences and always wanting to exceed the experience of our clients
  • Champion our company values (teamwork, kindness, trust, accountability, empathy and integrity)
  • Have the ability to be flexible with evenings and weekends
  • Have the ability to drive to work to be able to access both venues
