I have an exciting new contract vacancy for a Web Developer / Designer to join a fast paced tech retailer on a 3-6 months duration with the possibility of extension.

Description

· Develop and maintain user-facing features for web applications.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

· Implement responsive designs and ensure cross-browser compatibility.

· Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.

· Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in front-end development.

· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to user interface and experience.

· Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Profile

· Proven experience as a web developer / designer or similar role.

· Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

· Familiarity with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS or LESS.

· Understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.

· Solid understanding of web performance best practices.

· Experience of creating mockups or wireframes, ideally using Figma
