About the role…

Are you a skilled communicator with a passion for helping improve recycling and helping us reduce waste as a society? We are seeking a Waste Services Communications Officer to join our award winning team and support the delivery of high-quality communications.

As a Waste Services Communications Officer, you will play a key role in informing residents about changes to local services, encouraging people to use those services and marketing paid-for services. You will be helping us both deliver better services to local people but also encouraging people to waste less and recycle more, protecting our planet for future generations. You will also be helping to communicate exciting local projects and showing how we are making strides to lower carbon emissions.

To be successful in this role, you should have a relevant professional communications or marketing qualification, a degree in a relevant subject area, or relevant experience.

You will need…
  • A qualification in your area of expertise, equivalent to a degree or relevant experience of five years
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent to grade C/4 or higher
  • Experience of working flexibly as part of a team and collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Experience of being involved in continuously improving services and developing products to meet customer need
