£12.70 per hour
Hours: 32.5 hours per week 9.00am and 4.00pm 5 days over 7.
Pertemps are currently recruiting on behalf of a well know Public Sector, for a Waste Recycling Operative. The ideal candidate will enjoy working outdoors in all types of weathers and be able to carry out heavy duty labouring. The position is based in Montrose however travel to cover other recycling sites across Angus may be required.
Your key duties will involve:
- Undertake duties concerned with public access to/and usage of recycling centres
- Regularly pull, push and carry heavy bulky items, equipment and bins
- Direct members of the public to the appropriate skips, bins, waste-oil receptors etc. within the site
- Provide excellent customer service to members of the public
- Maintain simple records of quantities and weights of materials collected
- Ensure the office, site and site surrounding areas are clean and tidy at all times
- Experience of manual handling
- Experience of dealing with members of the public
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of basic road safety (traffic control)
- Knowledge of health and safety at work
- Basic numeracy skills and the ability to maintain records
- Driving licence
