Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are looking for a Waste Collection Operative for a Client in the Llantrisant area.

Position Overview

To ensure the safe and effective removal of waste from site, maintaining high standards of house-keeping at all times.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

* Removal of waste from the Factory.

* Transfer of waste to the waste management area using a battery powered vehicle (Tug).

* Maintaining housekeeping standards around bins and cages.

* Waste segregation.

* Acceptance of waste disposal vehicles onto site and operation of the weighbridge.

* Loading of waste disposal vehicles.

* Housekeeping of outside areas, e.g. bunds, strainers, outside waste areas, the site perimeter, plant rooms and external areas.

* Use initiative to formulate better solutions to existing problems.

* Completing all other routine paperwork.

* Operating waste disposal equipment including cardboard and plastic balers, transport tug, Counterbalance Truck, ET2 Shredder, the Wash Bay and Power Washer and the Drum Crusher.

* Attending call out situations for snow clearance and road gritting when reasonably available.

* Providing cover for the Leading Waste Collection Operative during periods of sickness and holiday.

Essential

* A current Counterbalance FLT Licence and experience.

* Experience of working in a production environment.

* A good general standard of education.

* A good understanding and attitude towards Health and Safety.

* A flexible attitude and willingness to work shifts.
