A client based in Purfleet is recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader/Supervisor who has experiece of Forklift

Job Summary:

We are looking for a capable Warehouse Supervisor to support our company’s freight-forwarding warehouse operations. You will be responsible for organising the efficient, safe storage and shipment of cargo for export. The position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Organise the warehouse space and have full understanding of what is in the warehouse.
  • Receive and organise incoming deliveries items appropriately, sign-off shipping notes and input on the system.
  • To ensure every item of cargo within the warehouse is accounted for, labelled and stored within the designated area of the warehouse.
  • To effectively manage the process of loading containers for export
  • Communicate effectively with office staff so they can provide the necessary updates to customers
  • Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimise warehousing procedures
  • Abide by all company health and safety regulations
  • Keep warehouse clean and organised daily

Requirements and skills

  • Proven warehouse experience
  • Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
  • Must be comfortable using a computer (in-house software training provided)
  • Team player with leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to lift or move heavy products

Experience:

  • Microsoft Office:
  • Knowledge of Freight-Forwarding is an advantage but not essential

Licence/Certification:

  • Forklift Licence (essential)

Job Type: Full-time
