Position: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Coventry
Salary: £25,000 to £28,000 per annum DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm (37.5 hours per week)

Empowered Personnel is recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor on behalf of our client, a rapidly expanding company in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in overseeing warehouse operations, managing a small team of warehouse operatives and ensuring efficient despatch processes with a company who has lots of new major retail contracts in the pipeline resulting in huge expansion plans for the business.

Job Summary: Our client is seeking a motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead the coordination between the office and warehouse, ensuring all despatches are accurate and delivered on time. You will supervise and support what is currently a small team of warehouse operatives with view of increased perm head count as the business grows and in addition seasonal agency staff during periods. You will be collaborating closely with internal departments within the business to meet customer requirements effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and motivate a team of Warehouse Operatives.
• Verify despatch orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate any issues to the warehouse team and management promptly.
• Coordinate with customers to schedule deliveries that align with their needs.
• Arrange transport and ensure proper documentation for shipments.
• Conduct regular stock checks and manage inventory accuracy.
• Build strong customer relationships through effective communication via telephone and emails.
• Collaborate with the warehouse and sales teams to optimise delivery processes.
• Fully assist with the day to fay warehouse operations.
• Generate e-commerce and large retail orders using Sage maintaining supportive documentation.
• Ensure warehouse organisation and standards meet company guideline in line with policies and Health & Safety protocol’s.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or extensive Team Leaderdersip is required.
• You must present a can-do attitude and enthusiasm for driving team success.
• Strong relationship management abilities.
• Effective planning and organisational skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with root cause analysis capabilities.
• Proactive approach to tasks and challenges.
