Our Client in Biggin Hill is looking for Warehouse Operative

Salary: c£24,000k pa DOE

Hours: Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm - 40 hours a week.

Benefits: Auto Enrolment Staff Pension , Staff Discount Scheme, WeCare, Death in Service after probationary period (6 months)

Holiday: 25 days holiday - 3 held back for Christmas

Warehouse Operative job description:

  • Follow instruction and being assigned working tasks and responsibilities.
  • To act and behave in an appropriate manner - ensuring that all Health and Safety aspects are adhered to.
  • Manual handling of goods/boxes - onto pallets and shelving within the Stores/Warehouse.
  • Assisting all departments when required.
  • Barcode scanning, consisting of - Receipting of goods in, scanning activity within the facility, picking of stock parts, and packing lists for projects.
  • Frequent stock management activity - regular stock checks.
  • Packing of ?nished goods for shipping.
  • Assembling of shipping crates - frequent use of power drills.
  • MHE use (I.e. Hand Pallet truck) to move palletized stock within the facility.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat, sweep, dust, and mop.
  • Wear the proper safety equipment.

Warehouse Operative qualification:

  • High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
  • Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
  • Experience of using a scanner gun beneficial but not essential
  • Forklift certification beneficial but not essential
  • Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
