Warehouse Operative (Forklift Licence)

Job Location: Poole, Dorset (Accessible by public transport)

Job Type: Ongoing contract, potential of permanent opportunities arising

Salary: £12.00 per hour / £444 per week

Hours: 37 hours per week,Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative with forklift experience to join a well-respected and established employer on a long-term contract. In this role you will be firstly responsible for working in the warehouse to:

  • Receive goods coming in to the company
  • Store stock correctly
  • Pick stock
  • Prepare orders for despatch
  • Palletise orders
  • Load & unload containers
  • Load & unload lorries
  • Update warehouse systems with delivery notes & order notes
  • Occasional operating of forklift

For the role of Warehouse Operatives, you MUST:

  • Previous order picking experience
  • Counterbalance Forklift Licence and/or Bendi Licence
  • Good level of English; reading and writing
  • Ability to work at a quick pace
  • Quick learner
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work confidently and efficiently in a team

This is a very active role where you will be on your feet all day and will not suit those who want to sit at a desk all day.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week 8.30am - 4.30pm
