Warehouse Operative
Based in Thetford
Pay Rate: £12.30 per hour + 10% Shift Premium (£13.53 per hour)
 
Shift Schedule:
06:00 to 14:30 / 09:30 to 18:00 rotating shift (weekly) – Early finish on a Friday
 
As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play a vital role in the efficient functioning of our clients’ warehouse operations in Thetford. Your responsibilities will include performing a variety of warehouse tasks, such as picking, packing, loading, and unloading goods. You'll need to ensure that all incoming and outgoing items are accurately recorded and labelled to maintain inventory integrity. Safety is paramount, and you'll be expected to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness and organization within the warehouse environment is crucial.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform various warehouse duties including but not limited to picking, packing, loading, and unloading.
  • Ensure accurate recording and labelling of incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse space.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
 
Experience:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
  • Able to work alternating shift schedules as outlined above.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
  • Accuracy in tasks such as inventory counting and order fulfilment.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
