Job Title: Warehouse Manager - Multi-Site Operations - Vape Supplier.

Our client is one of the largest UK Distributors of vaping and smoking cessation, confectionary and FMCG products to B2B (Wholesalers, Cash and Carries, Convenience stores and Vape Shops) with additional retail platforms direct to B2C. They began in 2017 and has grown rapidly with currently over 200 employees across their Head office, field sales force and distribution centres. All of their locations are easily accessible with the Head office in Birmingham City Centre, and their distributions centres are 10 minutes from the Head Office.

With multiple warehouse sites located within close proximity, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee operations across all four sites ( two locations) .

Job Description:

As the Warehouse Manager for our multi-site operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day running of our warehouses. You will be responsible for managing operations across three locations within a 10-minute drive of each other. This role demands strong leadership skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Multi-Site Management: Oversee operations at three warehouse locations, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration between sites.

General Operations: - Manage the overall functioning of the warehouses, including inventory management, order fulfilment, and logistics.

Purchasing and Costing:- Responsible for procurement activities, negotiating with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency, and maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Cost Efficiency: Identify opportunities to optimize costs across operations without compromising quality or service.

Staff Training and Development:- Train, mentor, and develop warehouse operatives to ensure a high level of productivity and adherence to safety protocols.

Quality Control:- Implement and maintain quality control measures to uphold product standards and customer satisfaction.

Health and Safety Compliance:- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among staff.

Performance Monitoring:- Implement KPIs and metrics to track warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement.

Problem-Solving:- Address operational challenges promptly and effectively, demonstrating the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

Continuous Improvement:- Lead initiatives to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and drive operational excellence.

Qualifications and Skills: ·

  • Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a multi-site environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Sound knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Proficiency in cost analysis and budget management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think strategically and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Experience in staff training and development.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.



Additional Requirements:

  • - Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between warehouse sites as needed.
  • - Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends, especially during peak periods.
