Warehouse Assistant

salary £24k to £26k per annum

A full Driving Licence is a requirement for this role

Permanent - full time position based in Poole

Working Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am - 4:00pm Friday

My Poole based design and manufacturing client is looking for a Warehouse Assistant / Delivery Driver to join their growing team.

The successful candidate will have a basic understanding of electrical wiring such as plugs, as the role involves assembling and setting up electrical products in the showroom, full training will be provided.

This is a vital role that ensures the company showroom is set up for Key Account Customer sites visits, and that product samples reach customers as required.

Being physically fit is a requirement of the position as there is some heavy lifting within the sample warehouse and unpacking of sample pallets and products, as well as installing electrical products whilst on a ladder.

A driving licence is an essential requirement as you will be required to drive the company Luton van to move product samples between sites.

A background within a warehouse environment would be a good match for this role.

Job Overview

Assisting the progress of sample products through the photography studio and company showroom. Maintaining the sample warehouse area.

Key Responsibilities

• Unpacking and assembling product samples
• Electrically test and wire all products as required.
• Accurately update the internal systems to show correct status of every product.
• Installing samples into the product showroom
• Setting up and preparing the showroom for customer meetings and product reviews
• Manage the packing and shipping of samples whilst ensuring the customer deadlines are achieved.
• Driving samples in the company van to customer sites
• Occasional offsite work at other company sites as required.
• Organising and tidying sample warehouse
• Any other ad hoc duties
