Job Title: VP Sales, EMEA

£160-170k base double OTE

We’re currently engaged with a leading US SaaS vendor based, specializing in governance, risk and compliance, they’re looking for a VP Sales to help scale EMEA.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Sales to lead the sales team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, demonstrating the ability to exceed targets and build high-performing sales teams.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy and Execution:
    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
    • Identify key market segments and opportunities for growth, and implement effective sales strategies to capitalize on them.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall company goals.
  1. Team Leadership and Management:
    • Recruit, onboard, and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to drive individual and team success.
    • Implement sales training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team, ensuring readiness to effectively sell our products/services.
  1. Performance Management and Metrics:
    • Establish KPIs and sales targets for the sales team, monitoring performance against goals and taking corrective action as needed.
    • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and optimization, leveraging insights to inform strategic decision-making.
    • Regularly report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  1. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners, serving as a trusted advisor and advocate for their needs.
    • Collaborate with the customer success team to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and retention, driving upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  1. Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies, leveraging insights to refine sales strategies and differentiate our offerings in the market.
    • Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to identify product/service enhancements and new market opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in sales leadership roles within the US SaaS industry.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience building and managing high-performing sales teams, with a focus on coaching and development.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead through change.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales productivity tools.
