Are you an experienced learning and development professional with expert knowledge in volunteering good practice? We’re looking for someone passionate, innovative and collaborative, who can begin to revolutionise our learning offer and create engaging solutions for our learners.

This role will sit within the Volunteering Team, part of the People directorate, and will work across Alzheimer’s Society to identify, plan, design and support the delivery of learning interventions for both volunteers and volunteer managers.

This will be a busy and challenging role; you will need to manage a range of competing priorities and be confident to take the reins to build learning and development approaches, interventions and pathways that are inclusive and will leave a lasting impact.

It’s an exciting time for the Volunteering Team as we enter a new phase, developing our strategy and ensuring we are able to meet the volunteering needs of the Society. The Volunteering Learning and Development Specialist will play a crucial role in achieving this, ensuring we are safe and compliant, but also fit for the future.

About you
  • Skilled and experienced in designing, developing, and delivering blended learning approaches.  
  • Hold a relevant Learning and Development qualification at Level 4 or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of the value volunteers add and the impact they bring to organisations, with up-to-date knowledge of volunteering best practice. 
  • Experience of evaluating the impact of learning solutions, using data to inform future improvements. 
  • Understanding of how to adapt and tailor learning solutions to various audiences, including people living with dementia. 
  • Ability to develop strong internal and external relationships.
