GLBA is the Global Banking and Advisory division of SGCIB. It offers a global advisory approach focused on strategic dialogue with clients. GLBA offers clients the whole range of services offered by SG CIB and the Group, with a particular focus on investment banking and commercial banking activities. GLBA provides tailor-made solutions to corporate, financial institutions, the public sector and family offices.

Within GLBA, the mission of the Fund Financing Solutions (FFS) team, which is split between London and Paris, is to originate and execute strategic transactions such as capital call facilities (CCF), asset-backed lending (ABL) facilities and NAV facilities for, but not limited to, private equity and private debt sponsors. The team is also responsible for secured funding transactions (in particular backed by structured finance loans such as commercial real estate, aircraft or shipping loans), CMBS and CLO securitization transactions.

Summary of the key purposes of the role:

• The role is under supervision of a London-based senior member of the ABP/ABS/FFS team

• Support origination and structuring of the FFS perimeter, with a strong focus on capital call facilities for private equity and private debt funds

• Monitor existing transactions (including annual reviews, internal rating renewals, etc.)

• Support commercial initiatives

• Familiarize with all the FFS products, in particular capital call facilities and asset-backed lending facilities

Summary of responsibilities:

• Production of various weekly/monthly/quarterly reports on the FFS financing portfolio

• Assistance with the preparation of indicative term sheets and client pitches for the ABP/ABS/FFS products

• Assistance with the production of credit applications

• Modeling of the transactions in internal tools

• KYC process, rating renewals and various other tasks

• Assistance with the due diligence streams in relation to new potential transactions

• Working on various transversal topics, including ESG initiatives

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply for a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

• Graduate with a Master's degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization inFinance

• A previous experience in structured finance/corporate finance/investment banking would be appreciated

Language skills:

• Fluent in English (B2-C1)

• Knowledge of French, Italian, Spanish, etc. is a plus

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

• Proficient/Good command of MS Office

• Good communication and presentation skills

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, and ability to summarize key messages

• Reliability as well as being rigorous and quality-oriented

• Strong attention to detail

• Cooperation and team spirit

• Initiative and entrepreneurial skills

Visa TW-GAE

When applying for the visa, you will have to advance visa fees (less than £1 000) that will be reimbursed by Société Générale London after the beginning of the VIE

To be eligible for this visa used for VIE, you will need to provide proof of the following:

- Graduated within the last 2 years

- English level with a certificate (IELTS - min 6/9 or TOEIC - min 605/990)

- Proof of support Funds (min £ 1 270)

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in UK is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
