THE COMPANY

Partnering with some of the most iconic large-scale events, festivals, and brands; this family run company supply event and stadium public catering and bar services on a large scale.

They support over 400 of the UKs best events and reach over 15 million people each year. Centred on the provision of on-the-go F&B this company offer varied services across their 7 divisions to deliver enhanced customer experiences for each of their diverse clients.

Due to their busy, year-round calendar of events, they are now seeking an experienced Assistant Venues Manager to work across two of the UK's largest and most iconic venues.

THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced hospitality / events professional to become Venues Manager to oversee the F&B provision at two of the UK venues. Working closely with the Venue Operations Manager, you will contribute to delivering a first-class service across all events. Key responsibilities include liaising with the Venue Operations Manager and clients to understand their requirements, managing bar set-ups for various events, implementing operational policies and processes, and ensuring compliance with client standards. This role will involve coordinating between the head office and the venues, with regular communication between the client and head office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the venue team and Venue Operations Manager to provide exceptional service during events
  • Must have a personal bar licence.
  • Communicate effectively with the Venue Operations Manager and clients to capture and understand their requirements
  • Manage bar set-ups for matches, conferences, parties, and ad hoc events.
  • Implement and develop operational policies, processes, and measures to meet the needs of the division, clients, partners, and the wider Group
  • Adhere to client processes and policies
  • Oversee front and back-of-house operations in the absence of the Venue Operations Manager, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures
  • Monitor performance, provide direction, coaching, and troubleshooting as needed

THE CANDIDATE

We encourage candidates with a background in hospitality or food, particularly those with catering experience, to apply. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to set up a job and be willing to engage in hands-on work. The role will involve a balanced distribution of approximately 50% on-event and 50% office-based tasks, with a day off provided for each event day worked. Specific expertise in setting up catering services and managing crews is highly desirable.

The Venues Manager will be responsible for communicating with The Operations manager and the concessions team regarding upcoming events, ensuring all necessary details are in place, and reporting regularly. This role has been created to address the stretched capacity of the current team, and there may be occasions where assistance is required at other locations such as Cheltenham or Aintree. Experience in budget management would be beneficial, and possession of a personal bar license is a requirement.
