Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Venue Assistant to join their team in Birmingham City Centre. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, providing exceptional customer service and contributing to the smooth running of events.

Venue Assistant - What you'll do:

As a Venue Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's venue. Your responsibilities will include managing smooth onsite operations, booking meeting rooms, greeting visitors, providing venue information to clients and customers. Your commitment to providing excellent customer service will be essential in this role.

  • Keyholding responsibilities for the building
  • Maintaining regular and approachable front of house presence for visitors to ensure their experience is smooth, enjoyable, calm and nurturing - this may be directing them to the correct meeting rooms, explaining the purpose of the venue, the services on offer and supporting visitors with any concerns
  • Support with maintenance of the online room booking system
  • Provide on site support to visitors present to attend therapy sessions - including occasional compassionate and productive support with complaints.
  • Ensure the venue is immaculately presented daily and retains Health and Fire Safety compliance.
  • Support therapeutic staff on site with any general needs they may have - including IT and AV requirements.
  • Liaise with the Digital Media Officer on any relevant social media posts/requirements
  • Liaise with the Business Support Manager for the swift resolution of any facility issues such as building repairs and maintenance.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings as required by the organisation.


Venue Assistant - What you bring:

  • Experience of front of house facing role in busy venues.
  • Experience using CRM programmes or online software's and systems.
  • Ability to manage a conflicting workload and timelines.
  • Proactive self-starter with a positive and energetic approach to work.
  • Problem solver with initiative, assertiveness and good judgement.
  • Confident, clear and patient communication skills.
  • Ability to manage busy situations calmly, providing information, solutions and clarity.
  • Compassionate, empathetic and non-judgemental attitude.
  • Effective time management and workload management.
