Automotive MOT Tester/Vehicle technician
Salary - Basic £41,720 - £46,720

Our client is seeking a fully trained MOT Tester and/or Vehicle Technician to join their already successful motor trade team working within a busy Garage. You need to be a team player, able to work to deadlines and have the ability to use your own initiative.

MOT Tester Responsibilities:

• MOT testing of vehicles
• Carry out basic repairs (and within standard times) economically and efficiently
• Complete work to a high standard, adhere to manufacturer procedures and processes and demonstrate high attention to detail at all times

Vehicle Technician Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vehicles.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding the status of their vehicles and recommended repairs.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Be an experienced MOT Tester or Vehicle Technician
• Possess a natural aptitude for mechanical diagnosis and repair
• Demonstrate a solid career history from within the automotive industry
• Good Technical knowledge
• Must have a Driving License
• Ability to work without supervision
• Have a VOSA Smart Card or be a level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician
