Contractor Position

KAP technical have exciting opportunities for an experienced and Qualified Vehicle Mechanics/ fitters to join our clients team on a contract basis.

To be a successful vehicle mechanic/ fitter , you should be focused on providing high quality service, you will have heavy mechanical experience, which will include but not limited to removal and refitting of - Engines, gear boxes, transfer boxes, sub frames etc. Where required, they must be able to adapt to various job tasks. Air con certification would be advantageous.

  • Perform the work outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with our client’s customer.
  • Engine removal and re-fitment of engine to vehicle
  • Experience of working in a workshop on passenger vehicles / engines is required.
  • Keep up to date with the most recent changes in technology, techniques and in the commercial developments.
  • Accurately report and record work completed, and tests carried out and to immediately report any further works required or vehicle faults.
  • Inspecting internal systems and controls to ensure the vehicle is operating properly and in compliance with regulations.
  • A full category "B" driving licence.
  • Experience in an automotive environment is essential.
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns, overtime, weekends to achieve production.
  • Must have own range of Mechanical / Electrical tools.
