Job Description:

Overview: As a Van Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of parcels to our customers. You will be responsible for safely transporting goods from our warehouse to various destinations, following assigned routes and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Parcel Delivery: Safely load parcels onto the delivery van according to the provided manifest or delivery schedule.

2. Route Navigation: Navigate assigned delivery routes using GPS or route maps to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

3. Safe Driving: Operate the delivery van safely and responsibly, adhering to traffic laws and company driving policies at all times.

4. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service during delivery, including courteous interactions with recipients and ensuring accurate delivery of parcels.

5. Parcel Handling: Handle parcels with care to prevent damage during transport and ensure proper delivery to the recipient.

6. Delivery Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, obtaining signatures or proof of delivery as required.

7. Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery van to ensure it is in good working condition. Report any maintenance issues or concerns promptly.

8. Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with the warehouse team and supervisors regarding delivery progress, issues, or delays.

9. Adherence to Schedule: Adhere to assigned delivery schedules and deadlines, striving to meet or exceed delivery targets.

10. Safety Compliance: Comply with all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid UK driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in delivery driving or a similar role preferred.
• Familiarity with local roads and areas.
• Excellent navigational and route planning skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical stamina to lift and move parcels as needed.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
