Upholsterer/Sewing Operative

£12.00 per hour

Lodge Farm, Northampton

20 hours per week, with the opportunity to go full time

Temporary to Permanent (after 12 successful weeks)

Responsibilities:

  • Upholster and sew various components of furniture
  • Cut fabric and other materials according to specified dimensions and patterns
  • Inspect finished products for quality and consistency, making any necessary adjustments or repairs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an upholsterer or sewing operative in a manufacturing or similar environment
  • Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and other relevant tools and equipment
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow instructions accurately
  • Knowledge of different types of fabrics, materials, and upholstery techniques is desirable
