Due to continued growth, Reed have partnered with a global, award winning, family founded professional services firm based near Clifton Triangle, Bristol. Recruiting for an Underwriting Assistant, on a full time, permanent basis.

Hybrid working: After first couple of weeks of training and onboarding 
Hours: Mon – Fri. 9-5 – 35 hour week

This opportunity would be great for an Administrator looking to take a step into the insurance/underwriting sector. The role could offer natural progression as you develop into roles such as Underwriting or Credit Control.

Duties

Providing general administrative support to the Underwriting department

Upon receiving amendments to clients policies, check to see if can approve these

Ensure correct set up of premium details

Assist with new application referrals

Review any applications that don’t meet acceptance criteria

Assist solicitors to ensure policies are accurate

Upon successful case, ensure premiums are applied correctly

Build rapport with solicitors, fee earners and other important stakeholders you work closely with

Respond promptly to queries relating to details of claims and questions on payment

About you

Minimum 1 years experience in administration 

Strong communication skills – Liaising between a range of stakeholders both face to face, email and telephone

Well organised, as will be managing a number of cases

Able to manage your time efficiently

Strong both verbally and numerically

Proficient with IT, Microsoft Office, Excel

An interest in a career in insurance is not essential
