My client, one of the world's leading engineering groups, are looking to hire a UK Tax Accountant on both a permanent and interim basis. The role will be based in Warrington 3 days week, although there is flexibility on this for the interim candidate.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced UK Tax Advisor to join a dynamic team within a leading organisation. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for ensuring tax compliance across all UK taxes and meeting all tax filing and reporting obligations. You will also have the opportunity to support various group tax activities, including overseas tax matters, tax structuring, M&A and reporting. The role requires building relationships with the wider finance team to ensure timely provision of required information. With an attractive salary range of £55,000 - £60,000 and based in Warrington, Cheshire, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

What you'll do:

As a UK Tax Advisor, you will play a crucial role in assisting the UK Tax & Treasury Manager in ensuring comprehensive tax compliance. Your responsibilities will span across various areas including managing tax filing and reporting obligations, providing support on overseas tax matters and assisting with restructuring projects. You will also be expected to manage relationships with external advisors while providing key business initiative related tax advice. Staying abreast of legislative changes and informing relevant stakeholders will also form part of your duties.

  • Assist the UK Tax & Treasury Manager in ensuring tax compliance across all UK taxes
  • Ensure that all tax filing and reporting obligations are met
  • Provide support across various Group tax activities including overseas tax matters
  • Assist with restructuring projects, including changing ownership of entities, liquidations and capital restructures
  • Manage and liaise directly with external advisors on the collation of tax advice relating to key business initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date with changes to legislation and inform stakeholders of the impacts

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the UK Tax Advisor role will bring a wealth of experience in corporation tax along with strong analytical and organisational skills. An ACA or CIOT qualification or equivalent is essential. Experience liaising with HMRC would be beneficial as well as the ability to present complex tax information in a clear manner. While awareness of VAT and payroll taxes would be advantageous, it is not a prerequisite for this role.
