Role Overview: As a Spanish Tutor, your primary focus will be preparing Year 11 students for their speaking exams. You’ll work closely with individual students, providing targeted guidance and practice to enhance their spoken language skills. Your role will involve conducting mock speaking tests, offering constructive feedback, and boosting students’ confidence in expressing themselves in Spanish.

Responsibilities:

• Speaking Exam Preparation: Tailoring sessions to address specific speaking exam requirements, including role-play scenarios and photo card discussions.
• Individualized Support: Identifying students’ strengths and areas for improvement, adapting teaching methods accordingly.
• Feedback and Confidence Building: Providing detailed feedback on pronunciation, fluency, and vocabulary usage.
• Motivation: Encouraging students to engage actively in Spanish conversations and express themselves confidently.
• Collaboration: Liaising with classroom teachers to align tutoring sessions with classroom content.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Spanish Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in Spanish.
• Teaching Experience: Previous experience in tutoring, mentoring, or teaching Spanish.
• Enhanced DBS: Candidates must have an enhanced DBS certificate on the online ‘Update Service’ or be willing to apply for one.
• Passion for Education: A genuine interest in supporting students’ language development.
