  • Job Type: Full time Permanent
  • Salary: £28,637 - £37,681 full-time
  • Hours: 37 hours per week x 52 weeks

Day to Day of the role of a Motor Vehicle Lecturer :

  • Develop and implement comprehensive schemes of work and lesson plans with clear objectives.
  • Deliver engaging lessons and manage classroom and online learning effectively.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records in line with College policies.
  • Serve as an Academic Progress Tutor, mentoring students and supporting their academic journey.
  • Contribute to the College’s quality assurance processes, including self-assessment and lesson observations.
  • Perform administrative duties related to the programme, including student guidance and event participation.
  • Provide academic, pastoral, and personal support for learners, potentially acting as Programme Manager.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the Motor Vehicle Lecturer :

  • A recognised teaching qualification e.g PCGE, DET, Cert education ect
  • Assessors qualification TAQA, CAVA, Assessors award 
  • Ability to inspire, develop, support, and challenge learners.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with a focus on delivering high-quality education.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Commitment to professional development and staying current with industry and educational trends.
  • Understanding and application of safeguarding, equality, and diversity principles in an educational setting.
