Job Summary / Overview

The HR TUPE & Change Manager role will be, responsible for growing a best in class level of expertise and advice, for all matters involving TUPE and change programmes across the UK and Ireland business which have a direct impact on employees.

This role is focused on overseeing and managing all TUPE and change programmes as assigned, ensuring all relevant activities are planned for and executed smoothly and professionally, and all legal requirements are met, whilst employees’ needs are fully supported throughout the change.

 The TUPE & Change Manager will have direct line responsibility for a team across UK and Ireland, and they will ensure they manage the team appropriately, effectively and efficiently and will ensure all Objectives are met.

The role holder is commercially aware, and can work with stakeholders at all levels across the business, as well as interface with external clients and suppliers where required, upholding the professional image of Teleperformance as experts in TUPE & change, at all times. The HR TUPE & Change Manager is adaptable and flexible, and can keep up with the fast-paced contact centre environment, able to multi-task and prioritise as needed, whilst working to tight deadlines. High levels of organisation and a focus on successful outcomes will be paramount requirements.

The role takes on an open and collaborative team-work-centred approach to ensure success, by actively collaborating with stakeholders and team members from all key departments including the wider HR team, Operational Delivery, Recruitment, Training, Workforce Management, Payroll, and others.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities (may perform other duties as requested not specifically addressed in this document)

  • Direct line management responsibility for a team of People Ops/ TUPE & Change Specialists located across the UK, and Ireland
  • Is fully accountable for all TUPE & Change performance across the function, monitoring and meeting relevant KPIs and strategic objectives as defined
  • Assigns TUPE & Change resources appropriately for both BAU and project work, to ensure both can be delivered effectively and to a high standard across UK and Ireland
  • Ensures the effective onboarding of all new TUPE & Change Team members takes place
  • Provides leadership and clear direction, whilst actively engaging and driving the ongoing development and coaching of team members to ensure optimum performance
  • Carries out monthly 121s, as well as quarterly reviews and annual appraisals of performance for each direct report, highlighting areas for coaching, training, and further development. Puts activities in place to progress performance improvements or personal development as needed
  • Adopts the Teleperformance management ethos of “Support First, Manage Later” to ensure all direct reports receive ample help and encouragement to succeed, before management steps are required to resolve any problems with performance, behaviours, and attendance
  • Maintains open and honest channels of communication at all levels across the team to invite ideas from team members, and allow concerns to be raised and resolved
  • Leads a business culture where data protection, security and prevention of fraud is a top priority for all job roles within team, driving full compliance with all GECSP Security & Compliance, HR and other policies and procedures
  • Responsible for management and coordination of all TUPE and change programmes (as assigned) throughout the UK, and Ireland business however at times may have an overlap into other geos
  • Responsible for the coordination of the Central People Change Committee ( CPCC) , ensuring all stakeholders attend, ensuring all departments adhere to policy and process, and ensure legislative process and best practice is adhered to by all departments and stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Complies at all times with Company policies, the Equality Act, Employment Rights Act and others (and any equivalent legislation covering Northern Ireland) and the General Data Protection Regulations in the undertaking of any HR activities;
  • Works with key stakeholders across all core departments to understand the programme requirements and organize the resources and personnel needed to deliver any TUPE/Change programme;
  • Works closely with the wider HR team colleagues to ensure support and resources for some of the activities required, particularly where consultations are needed prior to the change taking effect;
  • Providing expert HR advice on all aspects of TUPE & Change to project participants and stakeholders, to ensure legal requirements are met, and employee needs are supported throughout the programme;
  • Ensures advice provided is clear, consistent, and in line with company policy, current employment legislation and best practice approaches
  • Working proactively to identify any possible risk to employee engagement, attrition, commercial impacts, legal claims or programme success criteria, and develop mitigations or solutions to those risks, involving others where necessary;
  • Raise any urgent risks to the VP Human Resources without delay;
  • Builds and develops positive and useful relationships with a range of internal and external departments and key roles, including but not limited to Operations, Client Solutions, Business Development, Project Management, Payroll, Workforce Management, Training, Recruitment, IT, Finance, and HR Admin; Works collaboratively with internal stakeholders and colleagues involved in TUPE & Change Programmes to
