Using a blend of traditional skills and modern technology our client is seeking and experienced trimmer working with a wide range of materials. We are seeking a skilled and intelligent person to join our trimming team. The ideal candidate will be safety focused with a flexible approach to work. As a Trimmer, you will be responsible for assembling and trimming materials and objects whilst maintaining a high degree of craftmanship working to customer specifications. This hands-on role requires precision, attention to detail, and a keen eye for quality.
Responsibilities:
- Measure boats accurately to ensure proper fit for covers
- Cut and sew fabric according to specified measurements
- Assemble cover components using industrial sewing machines
- Install hardware such as snaps, zippers, and fasteners
- Inspect finished covers for quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and preferences
Requirements:
- Previous experience in trimming or upholstery, preferably in a marine, automotive or aerospace setting
- Proficiency with industrial related hand tools and trim tools
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and measurements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and customers
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift objects for extended period
- Ability to work within a team and follow instructions
- Excellent organisational skills, proficient at managing and prioritising work schedule.
