Butler Rose, a specialised finance agency is working with an exciting company to recruit a Treasury Specialist who will holds a key position within the Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsibility for overseeing and managing the companys cash flow, financial assets, and risk exposure. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role is pivotal in safeguarding the companys financial health and long-term sustainability.

As the Treasury Specialist you will work closely with various departments to optimise cash management, devise strategies for risk mitigation, and contribute to strategic financial planning initiatives. Additionally, the role involves establishing and maintaining the most suitable funding and liquidity structure for the Group, operating advanced cash management systems, and fostering relationships with financial institutions. Location: Primarily Remote, with occasional work from the Amersham office as needed for budgeting or project management purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Management:
* Monitor and report on daily cash positions across multiple bank accounts.
* Reconcile daily cash transactions and promptly address any discrepancies.
* Determine the optimal collection instruments (e.g., bank transfers, direct debits, cheques) in collaboration with commercial departments.
* Define favourable terms and conditions for the Groups liquidity within the parameters outlined in the Group Treasury Policy.
* Develop short-term and long-term cash forecasts and analyse variances between projected and actual cash flows.
* Coordinate with all group subsidiaries to establish the short-term daily cash budget.

Funding and Investments:
* Identify funding requirements and execute appropriate transactions under the guidance of the Finance Director.
* Manage short-term investments to maximise returns while ensuring liquidity.

Reporting: Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual treasury reports.
Budgeting and Planning: Contribute to the annual budgeting process, occasionally from the office as required.

Payments:
* Execute all company payments electronically, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Liaise with Accounts Payable and other departments to obtain payment approvals and coordinate scheduling.
* Ensure the secure and efficient processing of group payments, both directly and indirectly.
* Collaborate with accounting departments to provide necessary information and documentation for accounting postings and bank reconciliations.

Foreign Exchange Risk: Execute foreign exchange contracts as required, following the directives of the Finance Director.
Bank Relationship Management: Act as the primary liaison with banking partners.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with banking covenants.

Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3+ years of experience in corporate treasury or related financial roles.
* Proficiency in ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
