We are working with an ultra-high end Inbound Travel company (based in South West London) who are looking for an experienced Sales & Operations Manager / Design Team Manager to join their growing business.

This position is for those with a creative mind who are passionate about delivering luxury experiences. You should be a natural team leader, proactive yet calm in problem-solving, aspire for excellence and both enjoy and thrive in the luxury travel community.

The role:

  • Grow the business - drive the company onto the next chapter in terms of performance, access, technology and standards.
  • Lead and manage a cohesive team, ensuring team performance is aligned with business goals - this role is essential to the day-to-day operation.
  • Manage the team of specialists - oversee and manage all aspects of the company operations.
  • Manage our partners - oversee and develop the relationships of all partners including guides, hotels, attractions.
  • Enquiry management and response - work with the Business Assistant to allocate enquiries as well as create and design 'once-in-a-lifetime' experiences for inbound clients.
  • Training and development - to lead and develop a team of designers ensuring both personal and professional development. Maximizing strengths and developing opportunities for growth.
  • To maintain the position of the company as the go-to local expert - this role will be required to attend site inspections and keep up-to-date with the latest travel and event trends; venues; restaurants; hotels and all associated contacts.
  • This role will coordinate and ensure the required level of education is set and the company is represented correctly at all times.

Role expectations:

  • Profit Results - achieving profit target at the end of the financial year.
  • Conversion - measured by month-end report/yearly financial conversion.
  • Event Planning Management/client service - measured against retained business, producing memorable/'once-in-a-lifetime' activities for clients, enquiry response time and profit per event.
  • Sales office standards and procedures - compliance measured against the Standard Office Procedure indicators.
  • Team retention - ensuring a productive, happy team environment.

The person:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a management role or in a similar function within the Travel and/or Tour Operating sector.
  • Passion for iconic British travel, experiences, restaurants and 5* hotels.
  • Ambassador for the brand and ability to confidently network within the luxury hospitality and travel sector.
  • Proven track record of collaborative working style.
  • Proven track record of writing and presenting professional documents; including proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes and communicating accurately, and effectively in verbal and written English.
  • Proven track record of organising and planning events or travel itineraries - obsessive attention to detail, big-picture thinker and dedicated.
  • Proven track record of proactive, calm, problem-solving and the ability to work under strict time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to forecast sales turnover and profit accurately and be able to take appropriate action.
  • Proven track record of profit generation with both a result-driven and human led focus.
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively, especially when dealing with urgent issues when they arise, alongside being accessible to team and clients.
  • To understand and effectively use and be involved with social media from a business perspective.

The package:

  • A competitive salary of £55,000 - £60,000 + bonus
  • Lovely Southwest London based offices
  • Seasonal hybrid working available.
