Specialist Travel company, who create itineraries in the UK, Europe and Worldwide are seeking passionate Travel Consultants and Cruise Consultants to join their team in Birmingham. This suits a Travel Advisor whose focus is on achieving sales from building rapport, taking time to understand needs and creating itineraries with great attention to detail. Ideally you would have worked within a Tour Operator or Online Travel Agency, selling over the phone previously, though consideration will also be given to those that come from a telesales environment if you have experience in selling a luxury product or service. The starting salary is £24k - £25k pa dependent on experience, plus excellent commission, very sociable working hours and hybrid working.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Taking enquiries primarily by phone and email

Using your excellent communication and influencing skills, to understand requirements, create itineraries and sell these back to the client

Clear focus on results with experience of driving personal performance

Commitment to delivering consistent excellent customer service

Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

The patience to spend time getting to know our customers' needs and focus on the quality of the holidays sold, not the number

Ability to support your colleagues in their role

A commitment to achieving team goals and supporting the overall development of the company

Able to work Monday - Friday 0900-1730, with 1 in 4 Saturdays. Some flexibility to potentially cover occasional companies during peak periods is a bonus

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Ideally you will have previous experience within a travel telesales environment, though this is not order taking, so it suits someone who is use to taking time to understand needs, create the perfect itinerary, building rapport and securing the booking. In this respect consideration will be given to those that come from a telesales environment, dealing with luxury products where the sales process requires the same sort of rapport building and nurturing to secure the sale.

PACKAGE:

Salary £24,000 - £25,000 plus commission (OTE 55k-60k)

25 days' holiday, with 10 days to be taken consecutively to ensure you have a proper holiday at least once a year
