Transport Supervisor Nights

Job Title: Nightshift Transport Supervisor
Location: Preston
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

This role is ideal for experienced Transport Shift Managers and Supervisors seeking a role where they have more influence and input into the operation as well as a defined pathway to grow within a company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all work is distributed whilst complying with all Transport Legislation, Health & Safety and customer service requirements.

Key attributes:

* Successful, background in the Transport & Logistics sector
* Knowledge of continuous improvement
* Have a good understanding of legal compliance, driver's hours and WTD's
* Knowledge of transport management systems & vehicle telematics (Tachomaster, Microlise, Road Runner)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Flexible approach to work demands
* Good numeracy and IT literate
* Must be proficient in using Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Outlook) with good data handling skills

Main responsibilities:

* Nightly control and execution of the transport plan and adapting as necessary
* Briefing and De-Briefing drivers to ensure deliveries are completed in a safe manner
* Actioning all driver and customer queries and responding in a professional manner
* Collating management info and KPI's
* Effective communication to drivers, customers and operations
* Ensuring all site compliance is adhered to
* Managing site Health and Safety procedures
* Administrations duties
