My Client, an established, leading, National, Multi Site business in the Construction/Civil Engineering industry is looking for a talented Transport Planner to join their growing team, in this newly created position.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring their deliveries are carried out seamlessly, minimising costs and maximising efficiency.

About the Role:

In this position, you will be responsible for:

• Planning and scheduling: Developing efficient transport plans that optimise vehicle utilisation and trunking opportunities.
• Route optimisation: Analysing routes to ensure efficient delivery schedules, minimising mileage and fuel consumption.
• Data analysis: Extracting key insights from transport data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in transport planning and logistics, ideally within a similar fast-paced environment.
• A strong understanding of vehicle utilisation strategies and trunking operations.
• Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK, with a keen understanding of major road networks and potential challenges.
• A demonstrably numerate individual with a talent for data analysis and problem-solving.
• A keen eye for detail and strong numerical skills are essential for analysing data and optimising plans.A valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships as you will work closely with drivers, operations teams, and clients to ensure smooth communication and project delivery.
