Transport Planner/Administrator  - Southampton

A Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Traffic Planner/Administrator to join a well known established Transport & Logistics Company in Southampton.

The Role

Job Title: Transport Planner/Administrator

Job type: Permanent

Location: Southampton - site based

Hours: Late shift into early hours of the morning

Key Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Overseeing the night operation
  • Dispatching and debriefing drivers
  • Working in a busy office environment
  • Monitoring mileage
  • communicating with drivers, other departments and clients to ensure smooth operation
  • route planning on a daily basis

Person Specifications

  • Experience within Transport planning/Administration
  • Knowledge of drivers hours & infringements
  • Experience in dealing with containers
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Computer literate
