Transport Planner required to join our established client. This position is paying £31,000 - £33,000. Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 5.30pm, with occasional Monday's working 7.00am - 4.30pm, and a few hours on a Saturday morning once a month, (on a remote basis).

Own transport is required to access the client's site, and candidate must have transport planning experience.

Duties:

  • Planning transportroutes and allocating services, deliveries and collections
  • Produce vehicle and route job allocations to ensure balanced and compliant distribution of work
  • Liaise with depot managers to resolve problems
  • Liaise with sales and contract administration departments to ensure deliveries, collections and services meet customer requirements
  • Provide service level issue support and resolution to customers

Experience required:

  • Previous transport planning, route planning experience is essential
  • Ability to organise a busy and varied workload, remain calm under pressure, and proactive in approach to tasks
  • PC literate with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills
