About the role

Meeting customer requirements is paramount, we strive for a minimum delivery on time and contractual service level of 98.5%. Your role will involve efficiently planning our Peterborough fleet while actively seeking opportunities to reduce empty running. Additionally, you will be responsible for promptly resolving any day-to-day planning issues that may arise. If you are passionate about logistics and problem-solving, we want to hear from you. You will be responsible for:

• Resolving issues with loading/ planning/ booking and communicating with wider team
• Use of systems - DFDS Direct/Velocity
• Complete daily planning and admin tasks
• Building and maintaining very good relationships with external hauliers and our customers
• Monitoring subbing margin target
• Working closely with Customer Services Team and supporting them with resolving issues
• Support other team members in problem solving, carrying out root cause analysis and driving improvements.
• Good IT skills covering Microsoft packages and ability to understand external systems such as Truckcom and Mandata.
