Transport Planner - Night Shift

My client is a growing road courier company providing reliable and efficient transportation solutions, priding themselves on exceptional service, and maintaining customer satisfaction. They are now expanding their operations and are looking for a night shift transport controller to join their team, playing a crucial role in overseeing transport operations and planning routes.

Position Responsibilities

  • Developing efficient and cost-effective transportation routes.
  • Communicating with drivers to update them on routes, delivery schedules, and any changes or updates.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Address and resolve any issues that arise, such as delays, vehicle breakdowns.
  • Monitor tracking systems to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Ensure all transportation comply with regulations and safety standards.
  • Liaise with customers/clients to answer any queries and concerns.
  • Generate reports on transportation performance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in transport controlling/planning.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with transport software and tracking systems.

Benefits

  • Salary £30,000 - £35,000, dependent on experience.
