Transport Operator

24-7 Recruitment Services acting as an Employment Business are currently recruiting for Transport Operator on behalf of our client, based in Liverpool, Speke.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that all elements of the job are effectively communicated to drivers.
• Ensuring drivers are debriefed as per the site instructions and POD's are captured and uploaded in a timely manner
• Ensure that all drivers are working within a safe environment and follow driver hours' regulations.
• Liaising with planning team to optimise fleet/driver utilisation, identifying and resolving problems affecting delivery on time.
• Close liaison with other operators and team leaders to discuss efficiencies and agreed operational practices.
• Conducting initial investigations into accidents or issues of driver performance and raising with Transport Supervisors to ensure they are dealt with efficiently and consistently.

Desirable skills :

• Strong administrative skills
• PC literate
• Team player
• Must be comfortable with working in a busy fast paced environment and good with dealing with drivers as the 1st point of contact.
• Must have previous experience working in a transport office as an Operator / Controller / Supervisor position

Pay Information:

Basic £14.70

OT after 8h or weekend £22.05

Shift pattern available - must be able to swap rota every second week:

first week - Day 06:00 - 14:00

second week - Afternoon 14:00 - 22:00

Immediate start upon successful interview.
