We are recruiting for a dynamic and rapidly growing 3PL company based near Kettering, dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients across various industries.

They are seeking a Transport General Manager / Head of Transport to oversee their operations near to Kettering. As the key leader in the transport office, you will be responsible for fleet management, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining a sharp focus on commercial awareness to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and optimise the fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are well-maintained, compliant with regulations, and operating efficiently to meet delivery schedules.

Oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, including route planning teams and efficiencies, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

Get a handle on the commercials within the transport operation, helping the Business to continue investing and driving profit.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in transport management or a similar leadership role, with a track record of driving operational excellence and achieving business objectives.
• Strong understanding of fleet management regulations and best practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and drive change within the team.
• Commercial acumen as you will be the figurehead in ensuring the Fleet is profitable and being priced for work correctly.
• CPC National or International
