Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Transport Coordinator to join their dynamic team in Langley. This crucial role focuses on the day-to-day coordination and profitability of the European transport operations, catering to a diverse client base that includes private collectors, galleries, and auction houses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the export/import processes for road freight shipments across Europe.
  • Plan and coordinate efficient transport routes and schedules to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability.
  • Oversee customer collections, packing services, and deliveries, ensuring a smooth operation from start to finish.
  • Coordinate with customs for clearance, manage customs entry exceptions, and handle EU airfreight and road courier shipments.
  • Act as the primary liaison with clients and suppliers, resolving any issues or complaints that arise.
  • Manage the logistics of shipping fine art and antiques, including quoting, coordinating international shipments, and preparing detailed documentation.
  • Support sales and operations teams by providing administrative assistance and participating in regular team meetings.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in domestic and European transport operations and planning.
  • Strong knowledge of EU transport legislation and geographical nuances.
  • In-depth understanding of EU customs procedures and required paperwork.
  • Experience handling high-end goods and servicing premium clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with excellent attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  • Flexibility and the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Commercially focused with a keen sense of managing end-to-end costs.
