Transport Co-ordinators (AM and PM)

Location: Waltham Cross, Herts
Contract Type: Permanent/Full-time
Salary: £30,000-£36,000 (Dependant on Experience)
Hours: 45 Any 5 out of 7 days – 45 Hours a week (including Bank Holidays).

An exciting opportunity for a Distribution Co-ordinator has become available within our distribution/ transport department in Waltham Cross.

The role of the Distribution coordinator is to assist the Shift Manager in the planning of deployment, at least 2 – 3 weeks in advance, taking into consideration staff availability and checking for any amendments that are required.
Shift Pattern: Any 5 over 7 (Including Saturday and Bank holidays).

Core Hours:

PM Shift: Any 12:00 – 21:30 (includes a 30-minute unpaid break)
Day Shift: Any 5 out of 7 days (including Bank Holidays).

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Manage operational performance including service levels, complaints, shortages, Backhaul, etc.
• Update delivery instructions with real-time information.
• Ensure that the driver is aware and fully competent of all new delivery instructions.
• Maintain the customer key and alarm code process.
• Monitor and manage weekly performance for team members – route knowledge, absence, lateness, accidents, vehicle cleanliness, driver paperwork accuracy and employee standards.
• Ensure the transport management system (TMS) is checked to confirm delivery windows are met, signatures/photos are obtained, and a time is recorded against each of the deliveries.

The Person

• Ideally, someone who has a minimum of 2 years experience within a transport or distribution coordination role.
• Previous experience in conducting probation reviews, return-to-work interviews, investigation meetings for any highlighted performance issues and exit interviews would be advantageous.
• Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook are required at intermediate level.
