Transport Administrator
  • Salary Range: £25,000 - £29,000
  • Location: Ipswich
  • Job Type: 4-month fixed-term contract

We are seeking a Transport Administrator to join our team on a 4-month fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for individuals seeking their first job in Logistics or those with logistics experience looking for employment until the end of the summer.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Coordinate and manage the scheduling of transport activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, suppliers, and customers to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of transport documentation, including delivery schedules, vehicle maintenance, and fuel consumption.
  • Monitor and report on transport costs and identify opportunities for cost-saving.
  • Ensure compliance with transport policies, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Assist in resolving any logistical issues that may arise in a timely and efficient manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software relevant to transport management.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Previous experience in logistics or a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
