Purpose of Position

The Transaction Control team was formed in January 2020 to improve and monitor the quality of data between Pantheon and 20+ third party administrators. This is done largely through designing and building reconciliations and quality control checks, engaging directly with the stakeholders and consulting on upstream processes.

The team have completed 100+ process reviews and projects since January 2020 to deliver a streamlined, control platform. After building momentum we’re now ready to take it to the next level. The Analyst role is critical in these plans to do so and will be at the heart of the team as we move in an exhilarating direction to expand the impact of the team on the rest of the business. Transaction Control is a close-knit team of 6 highly engaged team players who balance collaboration and individual achievement to achieve mutually advantageous goals.

The next couple of years at Pantheon are going to be even more exciting as Operations transforms into a data-led department that incorporates technologies at the forefront of the Private Equity industry into its standard operating model. The transformation workflow is a fundamental redesign of all core processes to ensure that they’re industry leading, best in class and scalable for the next generation.

Every step of the way there will be opportunities for the team to take advantage of our unique position and get involved, develop new processes and utilise new technology.

The successful candidate will be a growth-mindset individual who can thrive if curious, pro-active and committed to delivering high-quality work every day. There is huge scope for self-development in this role and something that you will actively be encouraged and supported to take up. We’re looking for an analyst and offer flexibility to be involved with technical projects, liaising with core stakeholders or becoming a VBA specialist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete daily transaction, commitment, stock and unfunded reconciliations between Pantheon and external administrators, custodians, and underlying investments.
  • Investigate any breaks identified within those reconciliations and manage the resolution with internal/external stakeholders
  • Project work to support development of standardised processes and automated reconciliations. Using VBA, Advanced Excel and Business Objects, you will look at streamlining and automating data flows/manual processes.
  • Owning key relationships with internal/external stakeholders through regular service review meetings with the aim of building up relationships and preventing process issues.
  • Working in a close-knit team who like to social together inside and outside of working hours.

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of VBA is preferential, but there is a learning opportunity.
  • Ability to work in a busy team, working with multiple project deadlines.
