Role: Senior manager | Transaction Advisory

Salary: £75-95k (dependent on experience)

2 days a week in Central London Office

You will be joining a UK-based management consultancy renowned for its expertise in data-led due diligence and value creation services. The consultancy has global reach to cater to private equity investment firms and their portfolio companies, offering them unique insights and strategies to unlock commercial value through optimising through digital, data and technology, creating value, and mitigating future risk.

Role Requirements:

As a Senior Manager, you'll oversee large engagements and mentor Managers across multiple projects, ensuring strategic client alignment and project success. Your role involves leading client interactions, engaging in business development, overseeing commercial performance, and contributing to team training and proposition development, shaping the organisation's growth and offerings.

The company is looking for people with experience to deliver across the following competencies:

Client Engagement and Communication:

  • Leading client engagement strategies across multiple projects, ensuring projects align with client needs while offering strategic advice.
  • Creating impactful written communications for clients, including reports and updates, ensuring they convey meaningful insights.
  • Presenting findings from engagements to clients and management teams, inspiring clients with compelling storytelling that articulates project goals and value.

Project Management and Operations:

  • Managing multiple projects with varying deadlines and high client expectations, with a focus on budgetary control, ensuring operational and commercial strategies are aligned.
  • Overseeing the commercial performance of projects, guiding teams towards achieving strategic and financial objectives.
  • Developing recommendations and client relationship strategies across projects, playing the role of trusted advisor.
  • Ensuring appropriate team development and resourcing across projects.

Team Leadership:

  • Mobilising, leading, supervising, and coaching multi-disciplinary teams through various project activities, ensuring strategic alignment and effective delivery.
  • Guiding teams to embrace inclusivity and collaboration, fostering a unified approach to achieving project goals.
  • Leading by example in storytelling and communication, articulating the organisation's vision across projects.

Strategic Initiatives and Business Development:

  • Supporting the Head of Due Diligence in developing the due diligence proposition, including project management and digital strategy methodologies.
  • Identifying new project opportunities by developing proposals and pitches and building and owning lasting client relationships.

Mentorship:

  • Overseeing leadership and mentorship efforts, guiding managers in their development and removing impediments to their success.
  • Managing the training and development of direct reports, contributing to internal training, and organizing events for company development.

Experience:

  • Consultancy experience (ideally in due diligence) - Managers looking to make a step up or existing senior manager experience.
  • Understanding of how private equity firms acquire and manage their portfolio (desired).
  • Demonstrable specialisms would be welcomed but not required
    • Sector specialism
    • Digitally focused and ecommerce businesses (desired)
    • Relevant areas of diligence (Commercial, GTM, Technology, Data or AI).
