TRAINEE TAX TECHNICIAN / EXETER

Location: Exeter, Devon

Job type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 36.25 hours per week

Salary: Starting salary £18,500

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for a Trainee Tax Technician to join our clients accountancy practice in Exeter on a permanent contract.

This role will give you an opportunity to study towards your Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) qualification which will help you achieve a rewarding career in tax and accountancy.

You will develop significant knowledge in tax legislation, case law and economics under an apprenticeship agreement where our client will not only offer you support and mentoring through training but will also fund the training, pay you your normal salary on the days you attend class or time in the office to study and give you paid study leave to have extra revision time.

Duties & responsibilities:

      Supporting the team in providing a range of taxation services to clients

Prepare financial information, reports and returns for a wide range of clients, both businesses and individuals

Using computer software to record financial transactions

Prepare and provide personal and company tax, computations, regular VAT returns and bookkeeping services

Assist in preparing tax returns and other HMRC compliance documents on behalf of clients

About you:

      Analytical, methodical and numerical

Positive attitude

Able to multi-task and work independently

Team orientated approach

Good working knowledge of Word and Excel

A strong interest in Tax

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Eye for detail

Ability to study and pass formal exams

Strong track record in obtaining qualifications and strong results in GCSE's / A Levels
