Location: Chatteris, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £24,000 per annum

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

25 Days Holiday + Bank (Closed on bank holidays)

We are seeking a dedicated Trainee Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will undergo training to develop mechanical skills and knowledge required. As a Trainee Service Engineer, you will work alongside experienced professionals, learning the ins and outs of our products and services.

The Role:

• Assist senior engineers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of specialist confined space equipment.
• Learn to diagnose technical issues and provide effective solutions to customers.
• Participate in on-the-job training sessions to enhance skills.
• Work closely with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Always follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory management.

What we need from you:

• Experience as a mobile/ mechanical engineer (desirable but not essential)
• Driven to learn and grow within the team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and stay overnight (expenses paid)
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
