We are looking for a Trainee Nursery Practitioner with a passion for childcare to join us at our nursery, Cressington Manor, in Aigburth.

Would you like to start your career in childcare through an apprenticeship with an amazing nursery all whilst being paid the NMW for your age rather than the much lower apprentice rate of pay?... then this opportunity could be just what you are looking for!

As a Trainee Nursery Practitioner, you will work with our training provider to gain your Level 2 in Childcare (Early Years Practitioner) and will also learn the full range of practical skills and experience to become a qualified Nursery Practitioner with support from our dedicated staff and management team.

Here’s what we can offer you as our Trainee Nursery Practitioner:

  • An amazing welcome bonus of up to £500, payable on satisfaction of scheme criteria
  • Highly competitive hourly rate - minimum wage for your age, not the apprentice rate of pay
  • Discounted childcare places for team members
  • Recognition of performance and achievement gifts
  • Promotion opportunities for those wishing to develop into a new role
  • Fantastic in-house training for your continuing professional development
  • Relaxing and comfortable ‘staff lounge’ spaces carefully designed to maximise your wellbeing
  • Regular team treats
  • Free nursery uniform
  • A state of the art, purpose-built nursery in which children can blossom and grow
  • DBS and update service fees paid for by the nursery
  • Provision of pension scheme (auto enrolment)

Our mission is “Children at the HEART of everything we do – Childcare without Compromise” and we are looking for someone who genuinely wants to pursue a career in the childcare sector and make a difference.  Once your apprenticeship is completed with us, and if we have a vacancy, you may be interviewed for a qualified position with us, so your career really does start here!

As our Trainee Nursery Practitioner you should have...

  • Have GCSE grade 4/5 (previously grade C) or above in English and Maths
  • Be passionate about working in the childcare sector and making a difference to children’s lives.
  • Have excellent communication skills, be motivated, reliable, organised and the ability to work well within a team
  • Be motivated, reliable, and able to work on your own initiative
  • Have some knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage and experience of working with early years children (desirable)

Interested? Simply click ‘apply’ today to become a Trainee Nursery Practitioner today! We look forward to hearing from you!
